VG-Survey:
Synopsis:
Businessmen interviewed by Világgazdaság do not think that reforms should be made dependent of politically determined interests. Some would prefer to undertake concrete steps immediately, others think that the current social-economic climate would rather favour radical changes than an election budget.
Preparations
György Mosonyi (President, Joint Venture Association)
We encourage reforms comprising the total of the state budget, which require fundamental and time consuming preparations, involving professional associations, experts, interest pools and political forces. Therefore significant reforms during the present government cycle are highly unlikely to happen. In the preparation process viable concepts could be created, which would enable the future government, irrespective of its political background, to take effective measures without delay. We must make efforts to achieve results by spring 2006, so that the future government should not have to waste any more time.
