June 30. 2004.
Our annual General Assembly took place on 20 Mai 2004. Guest speaker was Dr. Tibor Draskovics, Finance Minister. Written questions asked in advance by our members proved, that many of them had problems in correctly interpreting the latest amendments of the ÁFA rules. The Minister has therefore concentrated in his presentation on this problem and announced that his ministry is launching an "e-mail box" specifically for JVA-members, who can raise their relevant questions on the Internet. The service is going to operate over a month from May 24. Our members already received news about this via e-mail, but we repeat herewith again: JVA members may raise their relevant questions directly at following e-mail addresses: afa@pm.gov.hu and adonemek@apeh.hu, making following reference "A Joint Venture Szövetség tagvállalatának kérdése"!/Question of a JVA member/ To our knowledge many of our members have already raised questions and many received already answer form PM (Ministry of Finance).Keep in mind please, that this special opportunity is available only up to 16.30 on June 30, 2004, therefore make use of the chance, asap.
May we ask you, to send a copy of your question to the JVA Secretariat, because we intend to make the summary of questions & answers available to all our members for information.
At the General Assembly some of the Board Members were newly elected. The entire list of the current Presidium is attached (in italics the new members). Our congratulations to the renewed Presidium, wishing them further success and efficient activity!
At the occasion of the GA the presentation of the traditional Golden Rose Award of the JVA took place, for the third time, and now were awarded:
* Jürgen Köppen, Ambassador, the outgoing Head of the EU Delegation, in acknowledgment of his outstanding services and contribution for years to the process of preparing the players of the economy for the EU accession;
* five resigning members of the Presidium, after accomplishing their mandates of six years' devotional service to the Association:
Mrs. Andor, Managing Director, Alimed Kft., Chairwoman of the JVA Health Committee,
Ferenc Furulyás, PR-Manager, Alcoa-Köfém Kft.,
Dr. István Gortvay, lawyer, Head of the GHM Law Office,
